There are no ticket counters available on Tioman Island, so travellers are encouraged to purchase 2-way tickets online or from Mersing or Teluk Gading (also known as Tanjung Gemok) terminals to have a convenient travel experience. The two routes to Kg Genting (Pulau Tioman) are:
Be reminded that the ferry schedule may vary as the weather could cause delay or disruption for departure. The ferries usually takes an approximate time of 2 hours to reach the first jetty in Kg Genting and passengers are reminded to be attentive to which village to stop at.

Bluewater Express (operated and owned by Bistari Gemilang Travel Sdn Bhd and Bistari Gemilang Shipping Sdn Bhd) provides daily ferry services to jetties of Tioman Island villages including Kg Genting. As of early 2024, their tickets cost RM60/way. This company may offer up to three different travel times a day (per way) depending on the weather and tide levels.

Cataferry offers a more premium ferry service, emphasizing comfortable seating and a more modern ambiance. However, unlike its competitors, the company offers limited travel times. Do note that Cataferry’s tickets do not have a fixed pricing and changes based on demand and timing. Their ferry’s seats are very limited, so it is advised to buy tickets in advance.
